Hepatitis B Immunizations

Hepatitis B consent forms will be going out with sixth graders soon.  This is not a required immunization, but rather a public health initiative that is offered by the school.   Please make certain that you check your child's immunization record to be sure that they have not already received the Hep B series.  Many children received these shots as babies and will not need to receive them again. The CDC recommends that after children complete their pre-kindergarten series of immunizations, they receive a Td booster around age eleven.  Please contact your child's school nurse, Allison Vogt, (664-5501) if you have any questions.
