Teen Driving Resources

Teens get their driver's licenses at a risky time in their lives. Immediately after earning their license, teens are more likely to drink, smoke cigarettes, and smoke marijuana. Combining drug use with teens' inexperience on the road and risk-taking is a recipe for disaster. SAHMSA (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) provides a free online informational guide to having a safe and fun holiday party. The booklet includes statistics on drunk driving fatalities, tips to ensure no impaired drivers leave your party, references to publications on alcohol, and recipes for tasty non-alcoholic beverages.
